Purses of reused material

Judging by the activity on my blog you might think not much creative work has been done by me lately. Luckily, that is not the case, I've just been to busy to get the things i have done online.

I'll start off by showing you some purses in various sizes suitable for many things.

They are made for many different tings such as tablecloths, pillowcases, old tapestry, ribbons and more. The flat one has a strap that can be attached so that it can be used as a wrist clutch.

The two biggest ones are big enough to carry shampoo bottles and are lined with oilcloth so that they can be easily cleaned if something got spilled inside them.

Tapestry pillow

Yet again a pillow made of tapestry and leftovers has been born in my house. This one reminds a lot of my previous, except for the color scheme. The tapestry I picked up at my local second hand store a long time ago.

Pillow

From the start I was planning to use a completely different tapestry for this pillow. But as I was searching through my fabrics this pillow appeared, so the other tapestry will have to wait for a different fabric. I combined the pastry with some leftovers, an old curtain, some lace and ribbon.

A little bit of this and a little bit of that…

The inside of these pillows I was lucky enough to get for free from a lady standing in front of me in a shop. She only wanted the covers and asked the woman behind the counter if she could throw away the rest. When I asked if I could have them instead, they looked at me as if I were stupid. But the pillows followed me home, so I couldn’t care less :) The only thing I didn’t like was that they were a bit thin, so I folded them in half and stitched them together. And then, with the help of a tapestry and a tablecloth from a second hand shop, some leftovers, ribbons and lace, these pillows saw the light of day.
The biggest one is 35 x 65 cm and the small one is 30 x 45 cm.
